Microsoft cuts Russia operations due to Ukraine invasion

(Reuters) – Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:) is substantially cutting its business in Russia in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, Bloomberg News reported https://bloom.bg/3MDqliU on Wednesday.
Microsoft announced earlier in March that it would suspend new Russian sales.
Reuters requested comment from the company, but it did not respond immediately.
According to a spokesperson for the company, more than 400 employees would be affected.
There are many major companies like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:). Nike (NYSE;) and Dell Technologies, (NYSE (NYSE),) have cut all connections to Russia.
Alphabet (NASDAQ) Inc’s Google and Meta Platforms Inc Inc are Russian media owners. They have taken other measures to stop Russian state media from profiting off their platforms.
