A real palm tree grows at the edges of the cafe. The water is clear and shallow. Beyond it, the jungle-covered mountains of Koh Samuis can be seen jutting out in the distance. Kite surfers take huge air out of small waves and then gently return to earth, adding to the ambience.

The regular at this event is Jrme Van Vlierbergen, an older Belgian developer of blockchain technology. Ban Tai co-working spaceHere he runs Equinox Launchpad. He explains that Koh Pha’ngan, or Koh Phangan has a thriving cryptocurrency scene. Most of it is populated digital nomads such as himself.

It is easy to become a member of the Crypto Community in Thailand.
