WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Two Georgian election officials who former President Donald Trump attempted to press to get votes in his favor will be testifying at the hearings regarding the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. A source said that they were familiar with the testimony.

Georgia Secretary-of State Brad Raffensperger is a Republican, as Gabriel Sterling is an employee in the office. They defended integrity of Georgian election, despite Trump’s intense pressure.

According to the source they will be testifying later in the month during a series of public hearings that the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee begins on Thursday night.

To discuss an unannounced decision by the committee, the source was granted anonymity.
