SHANGHAI, (Reuters) – China’s May auto sales dropped 12.6% in the third month consecutively as COVID-19 spread continued to depress the market.

According to data from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, overall sales on the largest car market in the world fell to 1.86million vehicles in May.

May sales increased 57.6% compared to April when many cities were subjected to COVID-19 lockdowns.
