Erik Finman is a Bitcoin entrepreneur millionaireAt 18 years of age, he spent as much as $20 million to support Republican candidates in Congress for the 2022 midterm elections.

Finman (23 years old) stated that he would donate $10 million to GOP candidates and other political action committees. This includes Saving Arizona, a super PAC supporting Trump-endorsed Arizona GOP Senate Candidate Blake Masters. Federal Election Commission records reveal that at least $10 Million has been donated to the committee by tech executive Peter Thiel and Republican megadonor Blake Masters.

Finman stated that he’s adding $10 million to his Washington D.C.-based non-profit America’s Future. The 501(c)(4) will finance what he called a “midterms tour” – a series of rallies across the country for conservative candidates. Finman said that Finman’s organization would promote conservative ideas as well as the proposed regulatory framework for cryptocurrency.

Finman makes his first foray into politics as the crypto market develops into a strong industry lobbying force on Capitol Hill.Since the 2020 election cycle, more than $30 million has been invested in campaigns by crypto leaders.

Sam Bankman-Fried is the CEO and founder of crypto exchange FTX. He has also been the main financier behind Protect Our Future. This political action committee has only supported Democrats in the 2020 election cycle. According to FEC records, Bankman-Fried also gave $10 million to the PAC during April.

Finman might give the Republicans a similar boost this cycle. In the past, he has donated millions of dollars to candidates. According to election records, he has donated more than $40,000 since 2020’s start.

Finman, like Bankman-Fried says that he has met with legislators about crypto regulation and other matters. However, he won’t say which lawmakers he met.

Because he is unsure whether legislators really know the laws and oversee industries, he has become more involved in politics.

Finman stated that “I don’t believe a lot” of the people in D.C. are wise elders. He also said that there are some legislators who are well-informed and thoughtful, which Finman called “golden people”. However, I am not sure if this is the majority of D.C. citizens.

America’s Future, Finman’s new nonprofit, will be launched in July. Already, plans have been made to hold a rally to support George Santos who is running to replace Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi in New York. Suozzi has resigned his position in order to challenge the New York Governor. Kathy Hochul will be running for the primary. Finman donated $2,800 during the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, but he has become more conservative. In February, he met former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida and stated that he would support him if he ran again in 2024.
