WASHINGTON (Reuters] – After extensive lobbying from the airlines and travel industry, the Biden administration will eliminate predeparture COVID-19 international aircraft testing requirements. This decision was made after a senior administration official informed Reuters.

After determining that the science and data support this decision, the Biden administration announced Friday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention won’t require travelers to visit the United States for COVID-19 pre-departure testing. Officials at CDC said that they will reassess this decision in the next 90 days.
