SINGAPORE, (Reuters) – The Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe stated on Sunday that it was now up to the United States for a better bilateral relationship. He said that they were at a crucial juncture.

“We ask that the U.S. stop trying to contain and destabilize China. It is unacceptable to interfere in China’s internal affairs. “The bilateral relationship can’t improve without the U.S. Side doing that,” Wei said to delegates at Shangri-La Dialogue Asia’s top security gathering.
