India stocks lower at close of trade; Nifty 50 down 0.40% -Breaking

Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index dropped 0.41% at the NSE close.

They were the top performers at the session Bajaj Auto Ltd (NS): The stock rose by 1.90%, or 68.10 point to close at 3,652.00. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd NS: added 1.34%, or 9.80 points, to close at 743.25 JSW Steel Late trade saw Ltd (NS) rise 0.87%, or 6.25 points, to 721.35,

Titan Company Ltd. (NS:) fell 3.61%, or 94.60 point to trade at 2,523.90 by the end. Tech Mahindra Ltd (NSS:) dropped 2.42% or 38.00 point to finish at 1,530.55 Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (NS.:) dropped 1.87% to 7,415.45.

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (BO:) which rose 0.77% to 4,360.90, Asian Paints Ltd. (BO:) which was up 0.76% to settle at 3,046.40 and Reliance Industries Ltd (BO:) which gained 0.73% to close at 2,596.70.

Titan Company Ltd., which fell 3.59% to 2,524.60 late trade, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(BO:), which dropped 2.35% to 1,532.00 and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.. (BO 🙂 were the worst performers at the close.

On the India National Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered those that advanced by 1224, 591, and 43. The Bombay Stock Exchange ended unchanged with 2004 being the lowest and 1290 the highest. 101 was the best ending.

The implied volatility index of Nifty 50 options was lower by 2.09% to 23.43.

The April delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.58%, or 11.30, to $1950.90 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell by 1.64%, 1.84, and hit $110.50/barrel. Meanwhile, the Brent crude oil contract for May delivery fell 1.18%, 1.41, and trades at $117.62/barrel.

USD/INR decreased 0.14%, to 76.22. EUR/INR fell 0.1%, to 83.88.

At 98.70, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.10%.
