Lebanon’s Mikati expresses hope of IMF accord in weeks -Breaking

DOHA (Reuters] – On Saturday, Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated that a delegation representing the International Monetary Fund would begin talks with Lebanon’s prime minister. He expressed hope for a settlement in the next few weeks.

He said to reporters, “Next Tuesday they’ll start their mission” at the Doha Forum in Qatar.

Mikati stated, “Hopefully…by the end of the two weeks we’ll see the light.”

He said, “We do not have any other option. It is a mandatory path to negotiate and reach an agreement with the IMF.”
