(Reuters) -Nielsen Holdings stated Tuesday that they would acquire the company in an all-cash transaction valued at $16billion including debt. The deal was arranged by a number of private equity companies led by Brookfield Asset Management Inc.

The deal’s equity value was $10.06 billion.

Nielsen shares will receive $28 from the group. This is 22.5% above closing stock on March 14.

After initially stating that Nielsen had declined a $9.1 billion buyout offer from a consortium private equity, the board decided the deal would severely undervalue the company.

This transaction should close during the second half 2022.
