Sankar Das Sarma, a quantum information expert and condensed matter theory physicist has argued that quantum computers are still a long way from being able to crack RSA-based cryptography in MIT Technology Review.

RSA-Cryptography uses algorithms, codes, and keys to securely encrypt private information without being hacked or interfered with by third parties. A good example of this is the creation of new wallets that create a private address and a key.
