WASHINGTON (Reuters] – U.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin defended America’s action in the Ukraine war during a heated exchange on Tuesday with a Republican lawmaker, who claimed that the Pentagon had overestimated Russia’s military potential.

Matt Gaetz in a rhetorical exchange during testimony to House Armed Services Committee. Austin and U.S. officials claim U.S. support of Ukrainian forces along with Ukraine’s strong willingness to fight has prevented Russia’s plan for quick victory during its more than one month-long invasion.
