BOJ’s Wakatabe says Japan no longer suffering from sustained price falls -Breaking

TOKYO (Reuters), Despite Japan still being in deflation, the country is not suffering from a prolonged period of price declines. Masazumi wakatabe, Bank of Japan Deputy governor said Thursday.

Wakatabe answered parliament’s questions about the recent declines in yen. He said that it was important for currency rates not to change based on economic fundamentals.
