Kimberly-Clark Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q1 -Breaking

Kimberly-Clark reported Friday’s first quarter results that exceeded analysts’ expectations and generated revenue above the expected.

Kimberly-Clark posted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.35 for $5.1B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $1.23 based on $4.9B in revenue.

Kimberly-Clark shares fell 10% over the course of the year. This is still a 12.13% drop from January 10, when it hit a 52-week high at $145.79. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is down 7.82% from the start of the year.

Kimberly-Clark shares increased by 2.9% in pre-market trade after the report.

Kimberly-Clark’s report follows an earnings beat by Procter&Gamble on Wednesday, who reported EPS of $1.33 on revenue of $19.38B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.3 on revenue of $18.72B.

Costco beat all expectations with its March 3rd quarter earnings per share of $2.92 on $51.9B in revenue, as compared to the forecast of EPS at $2.76 for $51.53B.
