Investing.com – Japan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

Tokyo closed with a loss of 1.17%.

Meanwhile, Nippon Yusen K.K (TYO:), an additional 5.48% (51,000 points) was added to bring the total up to 9,820.00 Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. The (TYO: ) traded up 4.74% to 2,231.00, or 101.00 point in late trade.

CyberAgent Inc. (TYO:), shares fell 52 weeks to their lowest point, falling 5.69%. This is a drop of 78.00 to 1,292.00.

The index, which tracks the implied volatility of Nikkei options 225, rose 20.33% to 27,40, a new one-month high.

Oil for June delivery rose 0.80%, or 0.81 to $102.51/barrel. Brent oil rose 0.88 percent or $0.8 to $105.49 per barrel in commodities trading. The June Gold Futures contract dropped 0.05% to $1,903.20 an ounce.

USD/JPY increased 0.44% at 127.78 while EUR/JPY increased 0.14% at 135.48.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.3% at 102.67
