LONDON (Reuters] – After Easter, consumer behaviour measures in Britain were lower, with online job advertisements also decreasing, said the Office for National Statistics.

Interbank CHAPS payments relating to credit and debit card spending fell 9 percentage points over the past week. The current level of 96% is a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adzuna’s figures showed that online job advertisements fell by 7% to 134% in their latest week, which is a decrease of 7% from the February 2020 level. The ONS stated however, that the ONS might have distorted the numbers due to Easter.

This category saw the greatest drop in job advertisements.
