Investing.com – Exxon Mobil (NYSE:) Friday’s first quarter report showed revenue exceeding expectations and forecasts that were not met by analysts.

Exxon Mobil posted earnings per share in the range of $2.07 to $90.5B on revenue of $81.3B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $2.23 for revenue $81.3B.

Exxon Mobil shares rose 42% over the first of the year but are down 4.70% compared to its 52-week peak of $91.50, set on March 8th. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 10.04% from the start of the year.

Exxon Mobil reports on Chevron’s Friday earnings miss. Chevron reported EPS at $3.36 per share on revenue $54.37B. Forecasts were for EPS at $3.43 on revenues $50.65B.

TotalEnergies SE ADR beat all expectations Thursday, posting $3.4 in first quarter earnings per share on $63.95B revenue. This compares to the $2.97 forecast on $72.78B revenue.
