WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. House of Representatives Committee investigating Donald Trump’s Jan. 6th 2021 Capitol Attack sought interviews with three Republican legislators, claiming they had information on the Washington planning of those events.

On Monday, Jan. 6 Select Committee stated in a press release that it sought voluntary cooperation from three House Republicans, namely Representatives Andy Biggs Mo Brooks and Ronny Johnson.

Jackson, Brooks, and Biggs did not respond immediately to our requests for comment.

Benny Thompson, Liz Cheney and other Select Committee members stated that it was their patriotic duty for all of them to assist with the investigation.

“The Select Committee has learned that several of our colleagues have information relevant to our investigation into the facts, circumstances, and causes of January 6th,” Thompson and Cheney said. We consider it patriotic to have all witnesses cooperate as we seek to answer the American people’s questions about this day.
