Poland to propose new help for savers, says PM -Breaking

WARSAW (Reuters – Poland is proposing new support for savers, said the Polish prime Minister on Tuesday. However, he did not give any further details as he criticised banks’ inability to increase deposit rates.

Mateusz Morawiecki said at a news conference that “when there is increasing inflation, the central bank raises interest rates which leads to very large profits for financial institution…the inability to split these profits with a citizens – such behaviour is unacceptable.”
