U.S. Senate ends debate on FTC nominee Bedoya, with help from VP -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to end debate over privacy expert Alvaro Beya’s nomination as a Federal Trade Commission commissioner. This move brings the Democrat closer to being confirmed.

Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States, voted for the breaking of the tie and gave Bedoya a 51-50 majority vote.
