REUTERS/Brendan McDermidWASHINGTON (Reuters), Rivian Automotive has recalled approximately 500 2022R1T pickup trucks from the United States. Air bags might not activate when a child sits in front of the truck’s driver seat.
Rivian claimed that the company is unaware of any injuries and accidents related to the issue. The recall vehicles will have the passengers seat replaced by Rivian. Following the deaths of dozens upon dozens of children in air bag deployments during the 1990s, requirements were adopted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
