Two sources close to the situation told Reuters that John Kirby, the Pentagon spokesperson (NYSE:), will be moving to the White House in order to assume a high-ranking communications position.

The Pentagon refused to comment.

Kirby has been the spokesperson for Pentagon briefings, including the recent invasion of Ukraine. Kirby was previously with the State Department, and served as Pentagon Press Secretary to the former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
