Pfizer to spend $120 million to boost U.S. COVID pill manufacturing -Breaking

REUTERS/Peter Nicholls(Reuters) – Pfizer Inc (NYSE: ) announced Monday that it will spend $120million to increase manufacturing at its Michigan facility for its COVID-19 antiviral therapy. This is in response to rising demand.
As infections increase, so has the popularity of Paxlovid (a pill that is used to treat people at high risk who are newly infected) and other forms of medication.
Officials from the Biden Administration have advocated for Paxlovid to be used more widely, which is free of charge.
