Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index gained 0.25 percent and the NSE rose 0.26 points at the end.

Titan Company Ltd., which gained 5.51% (130.20 points) to trade at 2492.160 at the closing. During the meantime, Bajaj Auto Ltd (NS) gained 3.29%, or 126.65 point to close at 3978.75. State Bank Of India was up 2.93% (or 13.75 points) to 483.00 late trade.

These were the worst performers of the session. HCL Technologies Ltd (NS), fell 4.03%, 52.55 points, to trade at 1250.35 after the close. HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (NS) fell 1.92% to trade at 1250.35. Tech Mahindra Ltd (NS) fell 1.84%, or 25.75 point to 1374.45.

BSE Sensex 30’s top performers were Titan Company Ltd. (BO:), which rose 5.55% at 2494.35 and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (BO:), which rose 3.28% at 3978.15, and State Bank Of India. (BO:), which gained 2.96% at close at 483.10.

HCL Technologies Ltd. (BO) was the worst performer, falling 4.04% at 1249.70 in trade late. Tech Mahindra Ltd. (BO) lost 1.84% at 1374.45. UltraTech Cement Ltd. (BO) was also down at close with a drop of 1.13% at 7252.35.

On the India National Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered those in decline by 878-842, and 57 closed unchanged.

Titan Company Ltd. (NS:), shares rose to new heights, rising by 5.51% or 130.20 up to 2492.60. State Bank Of India’s (NS:), shares rose by 2.93%, or 13.75 to 483.00. Titan Company Ltd (BO) shares rose to record highs by 5.55%, or 131.05 to 2494.35. State Bank Of India shares rose to record highs with a rise of 2.96%, or 13.90 to 483.10.

The implied volatility index of Nifty 50 options was lower by 1.48%, to 15.8475.

For December delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.64% to $1766.85 an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.12% or 0.12 in November to reach $80.64/barrel, and December Brent oil, which fell 0.14 or 0.07 to trade at $83.51/barrel.

USD/INR rose 0.12% to 75.4777 while EUR/INR dropped 0.01% at 87.0695.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.9% at 94.502.
