Honda to launch new EV brand in China next year By Reuters

The company will be releasing only battery electric, petrol-electric hybrid and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles from 2030.
Honda is well-known for selling over 1.6 Million vehicles in China each year, thanks to its efficient internal-combustion engines.
Honda stated that Honda will create a new brand called “e.N Series” with 10 models to be released in collaboration with Dongfeng Motor and GAC over the next five-years.
GAC-Honda & Dongfeng-Honda will jointly build new EV-only assembly facilities that are scheduled to start production in 2024.
New models of the planned model will be based upon an electric vehicle platform and a new vehicle operation system.
Honda will open an e:N Series area in all of its retail locations.
Honda has stated that it plans to establish dedicated e.N Series retail shops over the course of time. However, they did not give any detail about this plan.
Honda owns approximately 1200 Honda Brand Stores at the moment.
China is expected to sell three million electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-fuel-cell cars this year according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Honda stated that they will still sell the existing gasoline-powered Honda vehicles after 2030.
