Nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace Rarible has introduced a new functionality titled “lazy minting” that promises users the ability to create nonfungible tokens at zero cost — all while enhancing environmental sustainability on the platform.
Rarible, which is moving away from the conventional method in which data is kept on the blockchain right after it’s created, announced Monday that NFTs are now available. These are “minted not at the moment of creation, but at the moment of purchase. It’s the buyer who pays the gas fees when purchasing the item.” In this case, data will be stored on a decentralized peer-to-peer storage system called IPFS.
Fusion MediaFusion Media and anyone associated with it will not assume any responsibility for losses or damages arising from the use of this website’s data including quotes, charts, or buy/sell signal information. Trading the financial markets is one of most risky investment options. Please make sure you are fully aware about the costs and risks involved.
