France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.29% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At Paris’ close, the dropped 0.29% while the index was down 0.22%.

They were the top performers at the session Carrefour SA (PA) rose by 1.70%, or 0.26 points, to close at 15.28. In the meantime, Safran STMicroelectronics (NV:) gained 1.45%, or 1.58 points, to reach 110.60. STMicroelectronics (NV:) gained 1.44% (or 0.53 points) to reach 37.45.

Eurofins Scientific SE, (PA:) fell 7.98 percent or 7.13% to trade at 105.00 at the closing. ArcelorMittal SA, (AS:), declined by 3.73% to close at 27.00. Legrand SA (PA.:) dropped 2.71% to 91.98.

These were the top performers on SBF 120 Soitec SA (PA) rose 7.97%, to 200.40 Valneva (PA:), which rose 5.11% and settled at 18.920 Biomerieux SA (PA) closed at 107.80 after a gain of 4.36%.

They were among the most disappointing. Rexel (PA) was 9.36% lower at 16.51, Eurofins Scientific SE PA: fell 7.13% in late trade to settle at 100.00 and 104.00 Technip Energies (BV) (PA:), down 6.7% to 13.46 at close.

On the Paris Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered advancing by 307 to 294 while 88 ended unaffected.

Dec delivery gold futures fell 0.08% to $1783.45 per troy an ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil fell 2.09 percent or to $81.33 per barrel to reach $81.33, while Brent oil fell 2.25% to $83.89 per barrel.

EUR/USD declined 0.06% from 1.1642, but EUR/GBP rose by 0.04% to 0.8429.

At 93.602, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.07%.
