China says must consider supply chain, food and energy security when curbing emissions -Breaking

BEIJING, (Reuters) – China’s Cabinet on Sunday outlined steps to transition to a low-carbon economy. However, it stressed that the supply chain and food security should be taken into account in its attempts to reduce pollution and carbon emission.

President Xi Jinping of China last year stated that his country will reduce carbon emissions up to a maximum by 2030. But, China is facing a crisis in energy that may overshadow such ambitions.
