U.S. Treasury says distributed nearly $2.8 billion in rental aid in September -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – In September, state and local governments disbursed nearly $2.8 Billion in Emergency Rental Assistance program funding funds, an increase of $2.6 billion in August. This brings the total for the year to $10.3 Billion, according to the U.S. Treasury on Monday.

The Treasury estimated that 510,000 American households received assistance to pay rent, utility bills, and arrears in September, as compared with 459,000 in August.
