Twitter Inc Earnings, Revenue Miss in Q3 -Breaking

Investing.com Twitter Inc (NYSE:) Tuesday reported that the third quarter was below analysts’ expectations and that revenue fell short of forecasts.

Twitter Inc declared earnings per share (EPS) of $-0.54 on $1.28B in revenue. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $0.1713 for revenue $1.29B.

Twitter Inc shares rose 58% over the first year but are down 23.91% from their 52-week peak of $80.75, which was set on February 25. Their performance is better than the 20.73% increase in the beginning of the year.

Twitter Inc shares increased by 0.33% during after-hours trading following the release.

Twitter Inc. reported Tuesday’s earnings beat by Alphabet C, reporting EPS $27.99 on $65.12B in revenue, as opposed to projections for EPS $23.84 on $63.47B.

Facebook exceeded expectations with its third quarter earnings per share of $3.22 on revenues of $29.01B. That compares to the $3.19 forecast on revenue at $29.58B.
