AMD Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 -Breaking

AMD reports on Tuesday, Investing.com. The third quarter beat analyst forecasts. Revenue exceeded expectations.

AMD reported earnings per share at $0.73 on $4.31B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS at $0.6627 on revenues of $4.11B.

AMD shares rose 22% over the beginning of this year. However, they are down 3.33% from October 26’s 52-week peak of $127.17. They are broadly in line with the S&P 500 which is up 21.8% from the start of the year.

Following the release, AMD shares rose 0.55% after-hours.

AMD and other Technology sectors report this month

The AMD report comes after Alphabet C’s earnings beat on Tuesday. They reported EPS at $27.99 for revenue $65.12B. This compares to the forecasts of EPS at $23.84 for revenue $63.47B.

Facebook exceeded expectations with its third quarter earnings per share of $3.22 on revenues of $29.01B. That compares to the $3.19 forecast on revenues of $29.58B.
