TwilioAlthough the third quarter earnings forecast beat, shares fell more than 14% on Thursday. The company had issued a poor fourth-quarter outlook and the COO announced his resignation.
According to analysts, the cloud communication platform earned $0.01 per share with revenue of $740 millions. That beats analyst estimates of a loss of $0.15 as well as revenue of $681million.
These results were overshadowed by disappointing fourth-quarter earnings and word that George Hu was leaving the company as its COO. Khozema shipchandler will assume the position while continuing to be chief financial officer.
This San Francisco-based firm, which allows developers to add voice and text messages to apps, has forecasted that it will lose 23 to 26 cents per ounce in the fourth quarter. That’s a difference of an 8 cent loss.
JMP’s analysts kept their stock price target of $510 at the company. JMP noted that even though Hu left, they continue to love this business. JMP mentioned CEO Jeff Lawson, the company’s vision, and an estimated $79 trillion market address as reasons.
