Western Union suspended Sudan operations following coup -statement -Breaking

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Western Union (NYSE:) Co stated that it had suspended services to Sudan since Oct. 26, “due the military coup.”

After the Sudanese army seized control of this week’s elections, at least eleven people were killed in clashes with anti-coup protesters.

Western Union indicated that it monitors the Sudanese situation, and would “resume operations” when safe.
