Prince Andrew seeks dismissal of accuser Giuffre’s lawsuit -Breaking

NEW YORK (Reuters), Britain’s Prince Andrew requested a U.S. court to dismiss Virginia Giuffre’s civil lawsuit alleging him of sexual abuse when he was 17-years old, more than twenty years ago.

According to the Duke of York, Giuffre had not filed any paperwork with the U.S. District Court of Manhattan claiming that the case should be dismissed as Giuffre didn’t state a claim that merited relief.

Giuffre said that Giuffre must provide “more conclusive statements” of Giuffre’s allegations, even if her dismissal is denied.

Giuffre’s lawyers didn’t immediately reply to our requests for comment.

Giuffre, 38, sued https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/prince-andrew-is-sued-by-jeffrey-epstein-accuser-over-alleged-sexual-abuse-2021-08-09 the prince in August, accusing him of forcing her to have sex when she was underage at the London home of Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime associate of the late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The suit also claimed Andrew had abused Giuffre in Epstein’s Manhattan mansion and one of Epstein’s private islands in U.S Virgin Islands.

Andrew (61), a former friend to Epstein has been cleared of any criminal charges and “categorically” denied Giuffre’s allegations against him.
