Gold Down Over Strengthening Dollar, Investors Await RBA Policy Decision -Breaking

Investing.com – Gold was down on Tuesday morning in Asia, with a strengthening taking some of the shine off the yellow metal. Investors are still waiting for a response, beginning in Australia as worries about increasing inflation persist.
The dollar fell 0.19%, to $1.792.40 at 11:19 ET (3:19 GMT). The normal movement of the dollar is in direct proportion to that of gold. However, Tuesday saw an increase.
It will make its decision on policy later that day.
It will issue its latest policy announcement on Wednesday. While the Fed is trying to manage rising inflation while restoring the lost jobs due to COVID-19, it faces wage and price hikes at their highest levels in a multidecade. Goldman Sachs (NYSE 🙂 now believes that the Fed will increase interest rates in July 2022. This is a year sooner than it had previously predicted due to its expectation that inflation will stay elevated.
It will issue its policy decision Thursday in what may be the most unpredictable interest rate decision it has made in years. Investors have been pondering the possibility of the central banks announcing the first interest rate increases since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Data-wise, U.S. released its October 60.8 figure on Monday. It was slightly lower than the expected 58.4.
It is due Wednesday. On Thursday, trade data including and will be available. The latest U.S. job report including will come out on Friday.
Other precious metals saw silver drop 0.2% while platinum fell 0.7%. The palladium price was $2,047.26.
