Spain’s October jobless falls 0.02% from September to 3.26 million -Breaking

(Reuters) – In Spain, the number of those who are jobless fell by 0.02% between September and October, which is 734 more than in September. The decline in unemployment, however, has slowed from prior months, leaving 3.26 million people without work, according to Wednesday’s Labour Ministry statement.

The ministry stated that the October data represents the 8th consecutive month with falling unemployment figures, and it is the first time since 1975 that there has been a fall in the number of unemployed people.

Spain saw an increase of 102,474 net employments in the last month. Meanwhile, 48,512 individuals left the national furlough program to be part of the 190,718-supporting programme. Separate data from the Social Security Ministry revealed that this was the case.
