WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Ford Motor (NYSE 🙂 announced Wednesday that it would require its U.S. salaried workforce be vaccinated before Dec. 8, but did not decide whether or not to expand those requirements for factory workers.

According to the second-largest U.S. automaker, more than 84% U.S. salaried workers are already immunized. Federal contractor guidelines dictate that the deadline by which most salaried workers must be vaccinated for COVID-19 is met. Ford is still reviewing its policies regarding “manufacturing sites, parts depots, and Ford Credit,” including an analysis of federal and collective bargaining requirements.
