(Reuters) – Rivian Automotive was significantly increased in the price it expects to offer its shares on Friday by Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:). The electric vehicle manufacturer aims for a valuation as high as $65 billion during its initial public offering.

According to the company’s last monthly losses of nearly $1 billion, it plans on selling 135 million shares between $72 and $74 each, and raising nearly $10 billion.

This new price range is significantly higher than that of $57-$62 announced earlier in the month. It follows a successful investor tour this week as Wall Street’s major IPO investors put their money on Rivian to become the next big player within a sector dominated Tesla (NASDAQ:).

Rivian, which is yet to have sold any substantial volume of its electric vans and trucks, could be valued at $65 Billion by Ford. However, it would still be less than General Motors (NYSE).

The IPO may be the largest in the last decade. Alibaba (NYSE:) & Facebook (NASDAQ:).

Rivian has invested aggressively in increasing production. This includes for the all-electric R1T pickup trucks. It was launched in September and beat out other established competitors like General Motors, Tesla Inc., General Motors, Ford.

According to Oct. 31, there were approximately 55,400 US and Canadian R1T/R1S orders from customers, who paid $1,000 each cancellable, refundable deposits.

Amazon ordered 100,000 Rivian electric delivery vans in its larger effort to reduce carbon emissions.

Rivian is however likely to be undercut by both automakers and van manufacturers in the consumer market as well.

Ford stated that there are more than 160,000 F-150 Lightning pickup trucks on order and that the electric Transit commercial van has been “completely out of stock”.

General Motors plans to increase production of electric delivery vans as well as SUVs and pickup truck models.

Morgan Stanley J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs (NYSE :), and Goldman Sachs are the leading underwriters. Rivian will list under the symbol “RIVN” on Nasdaq
