Dakota Johnson is best known for her part as Anastasia Steele, the protagonist of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film series — but she almost said “no” to the role. 

A new interview was conducted with The Hollywood ReporterJohnson, 32 years old, revealed that Emily Blunt (a fellow actress) was her inspiration to film the first movie. This was when she had doubts and was sharing valuable advice that would forever change her career. 

Johnson said, “I could not talk to anyone about it.” Johnson stated that Johnson did not know. The Hollywood Reporterhaving the opportunity to land the part. “I was cast [and]Emily Blunt was the one I talked to, and I asked her if she would consider doing this trilogy. Because I want to have a really special career, and I want to make a certain kind of film … and I know that this is going to change things.'”

During a virtual appearance Don told Dakota on March’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” that Dakota had been cut off by him financially after she decided to go into acting instead of college. 

“We have a rule in the family that, you know, if you stay in school, you get to stay on the payroll … so, you go to college, you get to stay on the payroll,” the actor explained to Meyers. “Towards the end of highschool, I visited her and asked, “So, would you like to see some colleges?” She was horrified. No, I won’t be going to college. “OK. You know what it means?” I said. It won’t happen again.

Don asked Dakota about her plans for supporting herself. She replied, “Don’t worry about it,” he said. A few weeks later she was able to land a part on “The Social Network” with Justin Timberlake. Don stated that Dakota seldom calls Don for his advice, despite having a well-known father. He said, “She called me to tell me, “Gosh! I wish I could see you. But I have three photos I am shooting simultaneously.”

Johnson joined Maude, a sexual wellness brand in November 2020 as an investor and cocreative director. Entrepreneur Éva Goicochea founded Maude in April 2018 after working in health-care legislation and brand strategy. According to Bloomberg, Maude has received $10.1 million in funding. Crunchbase
