Russian officials from various ministries reached a common agreement to allow mining to be regulated as an entrepreneurial activity. In other words, the Ministry of Economic Development feels that mining will become an entrepreneur and can tax the earnings from creating cryptocurrencies.
Clarify: Anatoly Aksakov (Head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market), was the one who suggested that crypto mining be registered as an entrepreneurial activity. Alexei Minaev (deputy head, digital economy department, ministry states), adds to the mix.
The state has the opportunity to reap the benefits of taxation, which can be legalized income. Big business also seems more keen on this area.
Likewise, the country’s Ministry of Energy is also in support of the mining activity. But, before any connection can be made, the department demands that the miner reports on the amount of electricity consumed. It is done to allow them to prepare a unique tariff for miners, which will differ from that of Russians.

In response, the entrepreneurs of the region suggested that special electricity tariffs be created for those involved in crypto mining.
The Russian authorities have not yet declared mining prohibited or allowed. The final decision on this matter is still to be determined.
