EU lawmakers agree on rules to target big tech -FT -Breaking

(Reuters) – European Union legislators have agreed to how to go after big tech companies as part of a push to curb anti-competitive behavior in the digital economy. This was reported by the Financial Times on Wednesday.

According to the FT, people who were directly involved in the negotiations said that the main parties to the European Parliament agreed to a deal for companies with a minimum market capitalization of 80 billion euro ($90.55billion) and providing at least one online service.

According to FT, it would include companies such as Google (NASDAQ), Amazon (NASDAQ), Apple (NASDAQ), Facebook (NASDAQ), and Microsoft (NASDAQ).
