KENOSHA (Wis.) – Friday will see the fourth day of deliberations in the Wisconsin murder case against Kyle Rittenhouse. The jury will decide whether or not to convict the teenage killer who was racial justice protestors’ victim and also wounded another.

Rittenhouse is 18 years old and charged with the murders of Joseph Rosenbaum (36) and Anthony Huber (26) and attempted homicide for the injuries sustained by Gaige Grosskreutz (28), during the chaotic demonstrations that took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin (25/25/2021).

On Thursday, there were no notes by the jury to show what evidence they’re focusing on. The jury requested that Wednesday’s video of Rittenhouse shooting four shots at Rosenbaum, as the teenager charged at him, be re-viewed by them.

Rittenhouse was just 17 years old at the time. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and said that he used his semi-automatic rifle for self defense. Rittenhouse could receive a life sentence if convicted on the most severe charge.

Judge has granted the jury permission to move forward without considering Rittenhouse’s mistrial motions. Defense counsel raised a dispute in relation to the video of the drone that was shown to jurors by Rittenhouse’s lawyers and was presented to court Wednesday.

These shootings occurred in Kenosha, during protests that were marred by rioting, arson and looting. They followed Jacob Blake’s police shooting, which left Blake paralysed from his waist.

The trial has seen a split in views, with Rittenhouse being viewed as an ideological hero by conservatives who support expansive gun rights. Rittenhouse is also seen by many of the political left to be a symbol for American gun culture.
