Netflix employee at the center of protests against Dave Chappelle resigns -Breaking

(Reuters] – An employee of Netflix (NASDAQ) who is at the heart of protests about Netflix streaming comedian Dave Chappelle’s comedy special has resigned. He will also be withdrawing an unfair labor practice accusation against him.
“I am resigning from Netflix effective 11/21/2021. This isn’t how I thought things would end, but I am relieved to have closure,” Field said in a statement posted online https://
Chappelle’s latest Netflix comedy special “The Closer” was criticized https://reut.rs/3CfwWuq by some who saw it as a ridicule of transgender people. The comedian’s supporters saw it as a protest against cancel culture.
Field and a former coworker, B. Pagels–Minor have withdrawn an unfair labor practice accusation they had filed against Netflix in October. The charge claimed that the company retaliated against them for organizing a walkout across company over Chappelle’s Netflix special.
Netflix spokesperson stated in an email statement that they had resolved their differences “in a manner that acknowledges both the erosion of trust and, we hope to enable everyone to move forward.”
Both sides did not immediately respond to inquiries for additional comment about the case, or whether there had been a financial settlement.
“My clients have resolved their differences with Netflix and will be voluntarily withdrawing their NLRB charge,” Laurie Burgess, a labor lawyer representing Pagels-Minor and Field, said in a statement quoted by NBC News https://nbcnews.to/30SzhPh.
Ted Sarandos (Netflix Chief Content Officer) acknowledged the provocative language used by Chappelle in “The Closer” however, he said that it didn’t incite violence.
After Pagels-Minor claimed that he had leaked confidential information to the company, Pagels-Minor got fired. The employee denied the claim.
