Bitcoin price drops, but records highest institutional inflows

The crypto markets continue to improve, but institutional investors are still calm and pour more money into cryptocurrency.

The week ended Saturday, November 20th and cryptocurrencies saw an inflow of $154 million from institutional investors (excluding exchange-traded funds). The year-to date institutional investment in cryptocurrency has reached $16.97 trillion.

Bitcoin is the Institutional Investment Leader

Bitcoin continued the upward trend of November with the second highest inflows from institutional investors among digital assets. Bitcoin, which was worth $154million in total for the entire week of November 20, brought in $114.4million.

Recent investment in Bitcoin has brought the institutional total bitcoin investment to $6.6 million in 2021. Bitcoin’s October record of institutional investments was $2Billion, just as it neared the ATH.

  • Bitcoin is still correcting despite increasing institutional investment. Analysts think that this pullback might last for a while longer

It has generated $1.17 trillion in total in 2021. Altcoins, however, have made institutional investments of $9.2 billion.

Grayscale is the leader in institutional crypto asset investment. The investment company has more than $51.9 billion of assets as it manages, as at November 19.
