Investing.com — Krispy Kreme Inc (NASDAQ:) stock fell 8% after Goldman Sachs analyst Jared Garber downgraded it to sell.
Garber reduced it to neutral and set a price target of $14. This was a 4.4% decrease from Tuesday’s closing. The stock is now trading at $13.28, but below this level.
Garber sees rising cost pressures in many of Krispy Kreme’s key areas, which Garber considers to be a threat to the margins.
Garber was forced to make lower estimates due to the fact that Garber explained to Garber that consumers data suggests that the brand has limited price power to adjust to inflation. The indulgent food segment is expected to grow by 1.1% each year through 2025.
There is “limited clarity on the underlying drivers of top-line growth,” according to the analyst.
