WASHINGTON (Reuters] – Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared Sunday that extensive damage has made rescue efforts in the state difficult after tornadoes ravaged two days earlier.

Beshear stated, “I have towns that are gone,” on CNN’s State of the Union program.

Deanne Criswell was the administrator for the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency. She told the programme that there are still survivors and the rescue effort continues.
