Vox Consulting’s Olga Vorobyeva: Why Women Need More Founders and Five Things That You Must Do To Be a Founder

Olga Vorobyeva, Olga Vox was my interviewee in a series that focuses on leaders of business who have shaken up their industries.

Vox Consulting founder Olga Vorobyeva, also known as Olga Vox, is a pioneer in blockchain consulting. She focuses on NFT startup marketing and has worked for over 6 years. He raised over $100 million worth of tokens during his entire career and contributed to the creation of more than $2 Billion in enterprise value using ICOs. Olga is a speaker and organizer at various international conferences, and she’s well-known as an advocate for the blockchain.

Thanks for the interview. Let us know more about your background before we dive in. Your background. Which factors have led to you choosing your current career?

After completing my studies in finance and economics, I started my professional career at BNP Paribas OTC: Bank. As a white label project manager, I worked with multinational companies such as BNP Paribas (OTC:) Bank. Sanofi (NASDAQ:), Coca-Cola (NYSE:), Volkswagen (DE:) Group. Because this job combined finance and marketing, I was able to quickly learn how to encourage people and make them love the financial products we developed. No matter how great your financial products are, people need to love them to grow and manage their personal finances.

2016 was the year I made my move to Switzerland, where I met SwissBorg. In just six months, we went from an idea to closing $50 million from 25,000 investors from 149 countries. We also became one of the top 10 ICOs. My responsibilities included marketing, PR, and community management. Its SwissBorg app is used by 250K people. $1 billion in assets are under management. It has enabled hundreds of thousands to access decentralized financial services, making wealth management easy for all. Since then I’ve been involved with blockchain startups as mentor, adviser, marketing consultant and mentor.

Which is your most memorable story since starting Vox Consulting?

It’s a decentralized network that allows for mutual interaction. Blockchain is not just my job, but my life approach. I have had multiple meetings with clients from blockchain-related companies around the world, including three in one day. My breakfast was in Geneva and lunch was in Paris. Dinner was in London. The day I discovered that time does not follow a linear pattern and I could work from anywhere at any hour I wanted, which led me to become location-independent. From that moment, I’ve traveled nearly 40 countries, built relationships and established networks in numerous places. My method of business has encouraged many women entrepreneurs to overcome their boundaries and achieve full decentralization and influence.

Which was your most embarrassing mistake since you started your career? That was a lesson you have learned.

I accidentally pressed the wrong button, and ended up stuck in an elevator together with Chanpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, during the launch party for Binance Charity Foundation at the United Nations Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. So I was given half an hour to present an elevator pitch to Chanpeng and he invited us to dinner. It is impossible to make mistakes, but there are always opportunities for growth.

Without the help of others, we can’t be successful. What is the name of that individual who has helped you reach where you want to be? Could you please share the story?

I gained a lot of knowledge from people and was constantly challenged by them as a professional. One person that I always return to is my partner in life. His role in marketing the Olympics is a great example of mental endurance and strength for any startup professional.

About 20% of companies that are funded have female founders. This means that there is still much work to do to help women create their companies. Is there anything that you feel is keeping women from starting companies?

Recent research was done with BDC Consulting partners, titled Global Study of Women in the Cryptosphere. Because of the gender imbalance in tech and crypto, it’s much harder for women to start businesses. Only about 5% are women in blockchain communities. Consider the male culture. This is why some crypto conferences bring professional escort girl groups to provide entertainment afterward. Many women find this boring and don’t enjoy it. They feel unappreciated and uncomfortable. Non-obvious reasons that prevent women from entering the world of business include joint family finances and lack financial freedom.

How can government, us, as individuals or as society help women to overcome these obstacles?

I think that, firstly, women need to change themselves to be more confident. You don’t even need permission from anybody to create your own company or manage your own money. Women communities help a lot by sharing their inspirational stories and supporting one another. In Switzerland, I founded the “Girls in Crypto” community. There are now 500 members. We also had an presence at Davos (World Economic Forum) It is a great idea for women to start such a local community. It’s easy with the help of technology and messengers.

If you are a female founder of a company, can you please tell us why there should be more women founders?

These energies are the collaborative, creative, caring, and caring ones that surround female leadership. They are often used in daily life. Currently, however, this approach can often be masculine. We may collaborate and create, but we must micro-manage our staff and care only about the results. It is all about care. The feminine approach empathizes with and understands emotions. We often forget to include care in business. It is essential for teams to feel valued, safe, and comfortable in their work environments. It is all about helping others. Your team will be successful if you are able to serve them and show your concern. Leaders who don’t show concern for their employees hope to see better results from them.

Are there any legends that founders have?

It is a myth that breakthrough ideas can only be found in the minds of extraordinary geniuses such as Einstein and Edison. David Touve (Senior Director of the Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Darden (NYSE) School of Business) says these founders tend to be smarter than anyone else. They predict the future then wait for everybody else to catch up. Think of Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Zuckerberg. However, in reality, the process of turning an idea into profitable business can be messy and unpredictable. Touve states that the best approach for startups to grow quickly is similar to basic science. Touve says, “A hypothesis, a prototype, then a testing phase, then results which inform every subsequent iteration.” These statements are a perfect fit for me.

Another myth says that founders act like gamblers. They take on risk all the while. Only those who are most financially secure can risk more than they can afford. Uber founders (NYSE:) were a side-hustle and started the company with just three vehicles.

Can anyone, according to your perception, be a founder. Is it possible to become a founder?

My passion is traveling and I met many entrepreneurs before and during the Pandemic. I find the following traits are common to founders: fearlessness and creativity; confidence; empathy and authenticity. To start your own company, it would be ideal if all these traits were present. However, founders tend to be risk-averse and intuitive. An entrepreneur’s mind looks for the perfect idea. To be a successful founder I need to constantly learn new information about tech and cryptocurrency trends. It also helps me grow professionally and fulfill my full potential as a woman founder.

It is possible to meet founders who have returned to corporate. This is also okay. To have a better life and be closer to their families, many people return to work as employees. Some people understood that they were not suited to manage a company.

It is difficult to start and run a business. You need to be able recognize your goals and strengths. It takes hustle, dedication and a lot of hard work to start a business. If they are able to develop their professional skills, they may be able to hire a highly skilled professional for another company.

Picasso once said that “everything is possible if you imagine it.” Do you have an idea for a company? Are you ready to learn, adapt quickly and be disciplined while being productive? Doubting will only stop you moving forward. And because technology is so rapidly changing, anyone can take your idea and execute it while you’re still dreaming.

Awesome, thanks! Thank you for sharing five essential things that a woman founder needs to succeed.

Although it can be difficult to stand out in front of a group of men, women must persevere, take part in events and present themselves confidently.

A clear vision should be a starting point for female founders. Next, ask yourself who you want to create. The product or service that you offer must have both a potential market and an actual demand. Passionately pursue it and you will be able to get things moving.

Keep calm and keep working. You can improve your time management, be physically active and care for your mental well-being to make you more productive and efficient.

The idea of starting a new business can be frightening. To be successful, women need to step outside of their comfort zones and take chances.

Also, I recommend that female founders are themselves, be happy, let go of any things in their life that don’t make them happy, sadden them, or serve them well. Choose yourself and be who you are in every aspect of your life. Your business should be your passion and mission. It shouldn’t just be a way to earn a fashionable title.

What are your ways of using your success for a better world?

Every product that I create is a joy to me. My method for making the world better is practical. I try to be a good leader, mentor, adviser, female founder and founder. Through my work, I help companies, their clients, their teams and customers achieve their goals.

You have great influence. You are a person of great influence.

A movement to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion in technology would be my idea.

This column is written by well-respected people from VC, technology and business. Who would you choose to share a private breakfast, lunch or dinner with? We can tag them to make sure they see.

Nouriel Roubini is a fascinating person to meet for breakfast. We still have doubts about it, so I would love to talk with Nouriel Roubini about cryptocurrency and blockchain as economists.

I am grateful for the wonderful insights and your time.
