Supermax stated that the facility will be “capable to cater to at least 10% to 15% of total medical glove imports to the United States in the next two-to four years”.
Supermax, a U.S.-based unit Maxter Healthcare Inc, will build the facility on 215 acres of Texas. It could supply 20%-25% US demand over the next 4 to 6 years.
Maxter will construct the facility in four stages. Each phase is expected to produce 400,000,000 gloves per month. This gives the plant a total annual production of 19.2 million gloves. Production will commence in the fourth quarter 2022.
