European shares rise after Monday’s bruising sell-off -Breaking

(Reuters] European shares recovered on Tuesday, following a bruising selloff the previous session. Concerns about Omicron coronavirus were offset by a rise in commodity stocks.

As of 0821 GMT the pan-European gained 0.9%. The gains were led by miners and oil stocks, which saw gains due to higher crude and natural gas prices and a slightly increased risk appetite. [O/R] [MET/L]

Semiconductor-chip stocks ASML Holding and ASM International, (OTC): Infineon and Tech rose about 2% respectively after U.S. microchipmaker Micron Technology (NASDAQ) exceeded market expectations during its trading update.

Puma (OTC) and Adidas (OTC), which manufacture sporting goods, added 1.2% each to the following. Nike (NYSE:)’s quarterly beat.

Sanofi (NASDAQ): The stock fell 0.1% on the news that Amunix Pharmaceuticals would be being bought for $1billion.
