Egypt’s Suez Canal to reduce rebates on tolls for LNG carriers from Jan 1 to June 30

REUTERS/Amr Abdallah Dalsh(Reuters) – The Suez Canal, Egypt, will decrease rebates on tolls canals for liquefied transporters from January 1, until June 30, according to a circular released by the canal authority on Tuesday.
LNG tankers traveling between the American Gulf or ports South of it will enjoy a rebate 30% on normal Suez Canal tolls. East ports up to Kochi will also receive a rebate 55%. Singapore ports as well its eastern ports will receive a rebate 70%.
